Looking for something fun to do on this chilly Thursday?
Why not wander your butts down to Pioneer Square and support the many talented folks that have busted their own asses creating works of beauty for your enjoyment and potential ownership. You WILL want to bring your money as not only will there be some great work for sale but this time of year they are priced to move. Don’t buy your loved ones more useless crap for Xmas. Get them something meaningful that will only increase in value.
You’ll most likely find me lurking at the following events since they will include the work of friends of mine. If you spot me come say hi.

FORGOTTEN WORKS CHALLENGE
http://www.galleryok.com/archive06.html
The Challenge, for those of you who may have forgotten, is just that – challenging. A group of artists (thirty? forty? fifty?) is given a time and date to pick up thirty canvasses. All of the canvasses are the same size and shape. The artists then have to rush back to their studios and paint (or whatever) those thirty canvasses in thirty days! No work that is done on something OTHER than the assigned canvasses is shown. No work by artists who finish twenty-nine or fewer of those canvasses are shown. There’s a deadline to drop them all off, and then, a few weeks later, there is a great show of all the artists’ works together.
It’s a really fun event where you get to see which of your favorite local artists are UP to the CHALLENGE of making thirty paintings in thirty days. Are they all terrific? undoubtedly not. Are they all impressive? MOST DEFINITELY.
All work is sold for $40 per piece. In the past, it has been a unique opportunity to get some affordable work from some quickly-appreciating (in value) artists.
